ReachOut’s whole-school approach to student wellbeing provides resources that include engaging activities for students. The site offers credible, flexible resources for teachers and practical support for parents and carers.

Educational resources are free with digital tools and practical tips to encourage the development of positive mental health and wellbeing across schools. The activities help to extend the impact of existing resources. Resources can be explored by topics.

Examples:

  • Bullying
  • Transition to Secondary School
  • Friendships
  • Mental Health
  • Resilience
  • Respectful Relationships
  • Social Media
  • Study Stress

The online service was launched 20 years ago. The resources are co-designed with school professionals across Australia. ReachOut’s approach compliments the Australian curriculum but could be adopted by other countries. Evidence-based support uses the latest research in consultation with experts.

The site is the most accessed online mental health service for young people and their parents in Australia. Included are classroom resources, teaching programs, teacher wellbeing, information and support.

Transition to secondary/high school has 20-minute activities to support students starting secondary school. The activities would be good additions to use with my Teens and Transition Guides.
