Quotes can be important and powerful. The ideas and thoughts can help in a variety of ways, e.g. used as motivation during a struggle or applied to one’s life. Quotes can give wisdom and guidance when needed.
“One foot in front of the other gets you where you’re going, but it’s the detours that make the journey worth it.” – Alice Munro
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
“I have a dream.”… from Martin Luther King’s 1963 speech calling for equality and friendship for all people = racial equality, civil rights and justice for all.
Two quotes I have remembered from acting in two Shakespeare plays when in high school so many decades ago:
- “If music be the food of love, play on.” Twelfth Night
- “To be or not to be: that is the question.” Expresses Hamlet’s internal struggle and his contemplation of life and death – specifically suicide!
Quotes, particularly inspirational and motivational ones, serve a variety of purposes in life, from sparking motivation and inspiration to providing a quick dose of wisdom or a reminder of important life lessons. They can also be used to express oneself, to help make complex ideas easier to understand, or even provide a platform for sharing insights and experiences.
